I bought these at Goodwill for 25 -50 cents a piece.
I've been wanting to do something over my kitchen cabinets, but didn't want it to be cluttery, so I decided to try some plates. I saw this post from the Nester before I went out and bought 13 $2 plate hangers. Thank you, Nester. So, I did this:
Yep, I hot-glued paper clips on the backs of the plates. There is a possibility that the paper clips won't hold, but if they don't and the plates fall and break, I've only lost a quarter!
I love the way it turned out. I like how you can see the plates peeking out above the cabinets.
I'm posting to Rhoda's party!

The plates look really nice up there. I've been trying to find a reason to buy a bunch of white plates. I definitely could do this above my cabinets. Thanks for stopping by my blog! :)
The plates look great. I hope the paperclips work, as that is a cheap way to go, for sure.
I love the GW in Murfreesboro. Is that the one you shop at? I don't get there often, but when I can, I love to go. The one in Lewisburg is also great. I don't know how far that is from you.
I cannot beleive that I never thought to hot glue a paperclip to the back. Fabulous idea!!
Your plates look great thanks so much for sharing.
Hi! Saw you're in M'boro! Just wanted to say hi. Great to see another Middle TN blogger!

What a good idea...using the paperclips. I will have to try that.
Just wondering if the hot-glued paper clipped plates have stayed up .....? It certainly would be a LOT cheaper than wire hangers or discs, but I'm afraid that over time my plates will come crashing down! Have you had that problem?
Autumn, it's been almost a year, and they are all still hanging! Hot glue rocks!
